Jeff DePlanty is the Executive Vice President and Operating Partner at WILsquare Capital.

Jeff joins WILsquare with over 20 years of private equity experience.  During his career, Jeff played critical roles in over 60 successful acquisition and divestiture transactions with an aggregate enterprise value of $2.8 billion.  Jeff has spent the entirety of his private equity career focused on the lower-middle market and served as a director on eight companies.

Prior to WILsquare, Jeff was an Operating Partner with Benford Capital Partners, a Chicago-based lower-middle market private equity fund. However, Jeff spent the majority of his career at Harbour Group, a St. Louis-based private equity fund, where Jeff spent 18 years serving in direct investment and operations roles.  Earlier in his career, Jeff served as the Chief Financial Officer of an entrepreneur-owned chemical manufacturer where he was an instrumental part of multiple acquisitions and integration efforts. While serving as a controller for a private equity-owned manufacturer, Jeff supported the company’s successful sale to another private equity fund.

Jeff began his career at PWC and earned a BS degree from the University of Illinois-Urbana/Champaign and is a CPA (inactive).

Within the community, Jeff serves on the Board of Miriam School and Learning Center which serves to empower unique learners by building confidence and a foundation for success.  Jeff has been married to his wife for 24 years and they have two children.
